Nowadays, the topic of energy efficiency and the reduction of CO2 emissions is becoming increasingly important. For this reason, we at Hillebrand Coating are constantly on the lookout for optimization possibilities and implement them as quickly as possible.

Among other measures, we have significantly improved the energy efficiency of our dip pre-treatment system. The system performs wet chemical surface treatment on workpieces to be coated. As part of this modernization measure, we installed a new master computer that further secures and optimizes the system control.

We now also use frequency converters. This allows the required exhaust air volumes to be set efficiently so that no unnecessary heat energy is dissipated from the treatment basins. The exhaust air volume is regulated fully automatically based on the operating mode by the master computer and monitored by volume flow measurement.

These latest measures will enable us to save another 300,000 kWh of energy and 63,000 kg of CO2 per year.
