Corrosion protection zinc flake coating
High-performance corrosion protection with thin, hydrogen embrittlement-free zinc flake coating
Procedure description
Highly resilient dry lubrication for permanent friction reduction, emergency running properties or noise damping in the event of sliding noises from friction partners
Performance
Molybdenum disulphide is used as a dry lubricant in anti-friction coatings, particularly for high load conditions. By adding ceramic structures or other solid lubricants, the tribological performance can be further increased depending on the application.
MoS₂ can also be used under vacuum conditions and is thermally stable up to 1100 °C.
MoS₂ bonded coatings can be applied to a wide variety of materials, such as high-strength steels, aluminum and titanium alloys.
Dry lubrication with exceptionally high load-carrying capacity and suitability for use under vacuum conditions
Zinc flake coatings can be applied in bulk processes, as a mass coating process or in a rack process. Blasting treatment and Zn phosphating are among the methods used to pre-treat the materials. In combination with galvanic ZnNi surfaces or Zn flake coatings, corrosion resistances of over 720 hours in the salt spray test in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227 can be achieved.
